How to fill text with an image in PagePlus

I’m going to show you how to change the text fill from a solid colour to an image in PagePlus X6. It’s a great technique to use in big, bold headlines

The first thing you need to do is open an image in PagePlus. Ideally, it should be related to the text that you’ll be using.

Type the word or headline. Use a thick, bold font and a large font size.

Place the text over the photo. Make it slightly transparent so you can see which bits of the photo will show. Move it around if you need to.

When you are happy, remove the transparency.

Select both the picture and the text then click on Tools > Crop to Shape.

That’s it! You can now use this image (the process converts the text to an image) wherever you like.

If you want, you can still add an outline (and other effects) to the text.

Tell us your favourite text effects in the comments.
